How to Embed a Widget in monday.com
monday.com includes a built-in Embed Everything widget that lets you display any URL as a board view. You can also embed URLs inline in monday Docs. Both methods accept your Embeddy widget URL and render it live — no app installation required.

Prerequisites
Before embedding, make sure you have the following ready:
- An Embeddy widget: Create one for free at embeddy.ai/dashboard. Your widget must be published (not in draft mode) so it is publicly accessible.
- Your Embed Link: In the Embeddy dashboard, open your widget and copy the Embed Link — the direct URL that looks like
https://embeddy.ai/webhost/WIDGET_ID?widget_props_id=PROPS_ID. - A monday.com workspace: The Embed Everything widget is available on Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans. monday Docs embeds are available on all plans.
Where is my Embed Link? In the Embeddy dashboard, select your widget, click the Share / Embed panel, and look for the Embed Link option. It is the direct URL — not the <iframe> snippet.
Method 1: Embed Everything Widget
Recommended — dedicated board view for your widget
The Embed Everything widget (also called the Embedded View) adds a dedicated tab to any monday.com board that displays an external URL. It fills the full board area and is accessible to all board members.
- 1
Open your monday.com board
Navigate to the board where you want to add the embedded widget.
- 2
Click + Add View (or the + icon in the view tabs)
In the view gallery or view tab bar, search for Embed Everything or Embedded. Click it to add the view to your board.
- 3
Paste your Embeddy widget URL
The widget opens with a URL input field. Paste your Embed Link:
https://embeddy.ai/webhost/WIDGET_ID?widget_props_id=PROPS_ID
- 4
Press Enter or click "Save"
monday.com loads the URL and renders your widget in the full board area. The view appears as a new tab alongside your other views (Main Table, Kanban, etc.).
- 5
Rename the view (optional)
Double-click the view tab name to rename it to something descriptive like your widget's name.
Tip: The Embed Everything widget works with any public URL. You can add multiple embedded views to the same board — each tab can display a different Embeddy widget.
Method 2: monday Docs Embed
Alternative — embed inline in a monday Doc
monday Docs (monday.com's built-in document editor) supports rich URL embeds. This is ideal for embedding widgets inside project documentation, meeting notes, or team wikis.
- 1
Open a monday Doc
Create a new Doc from the left panel or open an existing one.
- 2
Type
/embedor paste a URLUse the slash command to insert an embed block, or paste your URL on an empty line and select Embed from the popup options.
- 3
Paste your Embeddy widget URL
If using the /embed command, paste the URL in the input field:
https://embeddy.ai/webhost/WIDGET_ID?widget_props_id=PROPS_ID
- 4
Confirm the embed renders
monday Docs renders the widget inline in your document. It appears as a live, interactive block that all Doc viewers can interact with.
Note: monday Docs embeds are great for inline documentation. For a full-screen widget experience, use Method 1 (Embed Everything widget) on a board instead.
Resizing & Layout
monday.com provides different layout controls depending on the method used.
Embed Everything Widget
The Embed Everything widget automatically fills the entire board view area. It resizes responsively with the browser window. There are no manual resize handles — the widget gets the full available space, which is typically ideal.
monday Docs Embed
In monday Docs, click the embed block to select it. Resize handles appear on the edges and corners. Drag them to adjust the embed's width and height within the document.
Dashboard widgets: You can also add the Embed Everything widget to a monday.com Dashboard for a high-level view alongside your other dashboard widgets and charts.
Limitations
monday.com embeds are robust, with a few platform constraints:
Plan requirements for board views
The Embed Everything widget (board view) requires a Standard plan or higher. It is not available on the Free or Basic plans. However, monday Docs embeds work on all plans.
Login-required widgets
monday.com cannot pass authentication cookies to embedded iframes. If your Embeddy widget requires login to view, it will show a blank page or login prompt. Set visibility to Public in the Embeddy dashboard.
Sites that block framing
Some websites use X-Frame-Options or Content-Security-Policy headers to prevent embedding. Embeddy widget URLs do not block framing, so this does not apply to Embeddy widgets.
Mobile app rendering
The Embed Everything widget may not render in the monday.com mobile app — it typically opens embedded URLs in an external browser. Test on mobile if your team uses it frequently.
Troubleshooting
Embed Everything widget shows a blank page
This is the most common issue. Check the following:
- Widget is published. Draft widgets are not accessible at the embed URL.
- Widget is set to Public. Login-required widgets will not load inside monday.com's iframe.
- URL includes https://. monday.com requires HTTPS URLs. Embeddy URLs always use HTTPS.
"Embed Everything" not found in view gallery
This widget requires a Standard plan or higher. If you are on the Free or Basic plan, upgrade to Standard or use monday Docs embeds instead (Method 2), which are available on all plans.
Embed renders but is not interactive
If the widget displays but forms/buttons do not respond, try opening the Embed Link in a separate browser tab to confirm it works. Some interactive features may be restricted by monday.com's iframe sandbox settings.
Embed URL changed and view is stale
If you changed the widget ID or props ID in Embeddy, the old URL will no longer work. Click the settings icon on the Embed Everything view to update the URL with your new Embed Link.
